Because our small scale R&D type impinging jet nozzle dryer works exactly the same as a convective dryer on the scale of production plants, drying results can be accurately transferred. This impinging jet nozzle dryer consists of two zones having an upper housing with interchangeable nozzles in slot or perforated type design (width of 550 mm (22”)). Each zone has a length of 500 mm (20”) and is equipped with a separate built-in air fan and heater. Thus, temperature as well as nozzle discharge can be adjusted individually per zone. Underneath these nozzles is a conveyor belt on which you can easily put the samples. The conveyor speed is continuously adjustable. Each zone works with recirculation air. The exhaust fan at the bottom zone, in combination with a manual damper enables balancing of the exhaust air rate. To clean or change the nozzles, you are able to simply open the dryer by use of the pneumatic cylinder and the small compressor.
